Sepsis Product Manager

bioMérieux Benelux S.A./N.V.

 

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Product Manager for our Sepsis Solution to join our BenNor Clinical Marketing Team, covering the Benelux and Nordics markets.

Our Marketing Team is responsible for the full range of bioMérieux clinical products across the Benelux and Nordics regions. As a key player in this Team, you will manage and drive the Sepsis strategy for bioMérieux’s portfolio in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

Based in either Belgium or the Netherlands, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth, ensure product excellence, and deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of healthcare professionals in these dynamic markets.

The Sepsis Product manager is responsible for the Marketing activities for the Sepsis solution, (including reagents, instruments, software and related services), for designing, adapting and implementing a market strategy to ensure continued growth and profitability for bioMérieux amid a dynamic and competitive marketplace. This role is a combination of product and strategic marketing management.

 

Main Accountabilities of the role: 

  • Develop the local market and customer relationships to support the local Marketing plan.
  • Build and implement the local marketing plan, involving all relevant functions, in alignment with the overall strategy.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, taking into account local specificities.
  • Marketing support for Belgium, The Netherland and Luxemburg (BNL) and contribution towards the achievement of commercial targets for the product range through strategic marketing, as well as operational product management activities (forecast, allocations etc., as part of supply chain management, preparation of launch files).
  • Oversee all activities related to bioMérieux products and services within the scope: solutions, value proposition, communication channels for each key stakeholder.
  • Align all necessary internal and external commercial partners: clear communication of the strategy, adequate training of personnel, coherence of the incentive plan with strategy execution, ensuring measures are consistent and actionable.
  • Develop a plan to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities, customer engagement, and commercial impact.
  • Contribute to budget adherence, actions related to the strategic plan, and commercial launch.
  • Ensure alignment and communication between Global Marketing, regional teams, and local teams.
  • Create and manage external/digital communication, press releases, advertising, bulletins, mailings and represent the company in Exhibitions, Symposiums, Congresses and trade shows.
  • Work close with the local sales teams by co-visits, in order to ensure the correct use of the tools provided, to monitor implementation of action plans, and to detect improvements needed on tools or missing ones.
  • Marketing support for Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg (BNL) and contribution towards the achievement of commercial targets for the product range through strategic marketing, as well as operational product management activities (forecast, allocations etc., as part of supply chain management, preparation of launch files).
  • Spend time in the field on a regular basis (30-40% of time) subject to operational demands, working both independently and together with the commercial team in support of the business, to prepare compelling and credible ‘why buy’ messaging and argumentation, and market test before market product launch.
  • Contribution to the development of a Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) network. Act as an ambassador for bioMérieux with internal and external customers.
  • Support and compliment key business functions within the organization, in order to maintain and validate the product offer; monitor the plan versus organization capabilities to deliver and adjust as appropriate to deliver the offer. (Sales forecasts, logistics, service /support, sales administration etc.)
  • Partner with others Marketing Product and Market Managers in the Benelux & Nordics Cluster (BENNOR Cluster Clinical Marketing team), especially the counterpart in the Nordics, but also local Sales, Customer Service and Medical Affairs teams, Global and Regional (EMEA) Marketing.
  • Contribute and participate in BenNor Cluster and Corporate meetings, local customer, user group and international congress and symposia.
  • Launch of new products/instrument/services following the Launch Excellence process, including ownership of market product launch and knowledge transfer to the Commercial team.
  • The position will be based in the BNL, however there will be the need to travel outside of the BNL within BenNor Cluster and EMEA (occasionally), according to the business needs.

 

The Sepsis Solution includes blood culture, automated identification/antimicrobial susceptibility testing (fast and non-fast ID/AST), mass spectrometry, molecular syndromic approach identification and integrated software’s to transform data in actionable insights.

 

 Who are You ?

  • Higher scientific education (PhD, Master or similar), several years’ experience in microbiology, understanding of mainstream clinical microbiology.
  • Background or experience in molecular biology is a appreciated.
  • English and Dutch fluent, French appreciated.
  • Minimum 3 years of Product Management/Marketing experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of laboratory microbiology workflow, able to discuss with KOL as peers, design and deliver presentations, organize local meetings, possible local study evaluation protocols, comfortable working within an international matrix organization.
  • Current industry knowledge and of our customers (public/private laboratories) & local reimbursement mechanisms as appropriate, operating within a highly regulated CE/IVD compliant diagnostic marketplace.
  • Good knowledge of the competition in the microbiology and ID/AST field.
  • Strong communication skills, able to share product/market knowledge with and enthuse the Commercial/Service & business support teams.
  • Emotionally intelligent, a flexible team player, analytical in thinking, strong customer/patient focus & results oriented.
  • Enthusiastic & highly committed to succeed, organization & planning skills.
  • Capability to work with high autonomy and also be comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Driver license
  • Localization in Belgium or The Netherlands.

 

This position requires approximately 30-40% travel.
