We are currently looking for an Account Manager in Industry Pharma to join our team! 


This role will cover the Midlands territory with the ideal candidate being based in and around Birmingham and reporting directly to our Industry Sales Manager UK & Ireland. This a team of 8 Product specialists working on either Pharma or Food. 


What will be your responsibilities at bioMerieux?   

The Account Manager is responsible for implementing our Marketing and Sales strategy to meet our targets covering the territory in the Midlands.

 

  • Promote the value of bioMérieux products through customer meetings according to the Sales & Marketing strategy, ensuring all customer interactions are fully detailed in the CRM (events and associated data)
  • Organise, Support and Attend Marketing events within the Cluster.
  • Participate and implement projects by coordinating with team members, including both Sales, Application Specialists and Service Engineers to pursue the short-term Sales Target and the long-term Company Strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and influencers within the territory by regular contact (face to face, Teleconference) to facilitate sales and widen the commercial network.
  • Actively gather and report market data and trends / changes in markets that may affect the performance of the Industry Division.
  • Become proficient in the use of the provided business tools including but not limited to; CRM, Quotation Tool, Excel, Teleconference platform.
  • Assist in the production of all quotations and tenders relating to the relevant product group in line with company pricing strategy and mindful of any Purchasing Hub agreements.
  • Respond to quote / tender requests complying to the current commercial policy.

 

Who are you?

  • You will need to have a BSC or BA in science and experience of working in a laboratory environment.
  • Previous sales experience is preferred but not essential. 
  • You will need to demonstrate that you have a good understanding of our product ranges and a view of the market and our competition. You must be able to work on multiple priorities and in a team and as an individual. Good communication and presentation skills are a must.
