Country Manager of Colombia

 

Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:

Represents the company in the country and is responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing on the selling strategies for the country with full P&L responsibility. The scope of the role includes overseeing, in a matrix environment, all local sales, marketing, customer service, and support functions for the Units except Industry.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Develops a business strategy and ensures the team delivers customer satisfaction, above market growth rates in terms of product market share, manages average selling price (ASP) and provides incremental revenue to assist the organization in meeting its stated revenue and growth objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable legislation and group policies proactively addressing compliance/internal controls in all aspects of the business operation.
  • Ensures good functioning of the quality management system and lead Operational Performance: Profitability, Supply Chain, Customer Service.
  • Ensures appropriate resources and processes to meets the business objectives and to support distributors in the country.
  • Represents the company with Governmental Authorities, Business Associations and International Organizations in the country.

Typical Studies-Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Studies-Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in sales or marketing, within a diagnostics or life sciences company in Colombia.
  • A minimum of least 5 years P&L leadership experience within a diagnostics or life sciences company in Colombia.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge In-depth understanding of the local market and business environment in Brasil
  • Direct and indirect teams (manager of managers)
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
  • Good knowledge of the IVD market and its regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to develop and guide an organization during periods of rapid growth.
  • Strategic thinker with understanding of the competitor marketplace. A track record of success in expanding markets, increasing sales and enhancing profitability.
  • Successful experience in building a relationship with Health Authorities and Industry association bodies.
  • Demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks, analyze problems, develop solution alternatives, and implement tactics needed to secure positive outcomes.

Language: Spanish and English fluent
