What will your responsibilities be at bioMerieux?
At bioMérieux we are seeking an outstanding marketer with a passion for strategy development to lead the expansion of market presence and drive entry into new markets. The Marketing Director for BENNOR will be responsible for the commercialisation strategy across the microbiology, immunoassays, and molecular diagnostics portfolio, as well as overseeing product management and lifecycle management.
The Marketing Director will develop and oversee the marketing strategy for each of the company’s diagnostic products, managing the team whilst working cross-functionally at both regional and global level. They will execute strategies that create new opportunities in competitive and advanced markets, ensuring deep collaboration with customers, hospitals, and healthcare systems to ensure a long-lasting partnership and position bioMérieux as a trusted business partner.
Your main accountabilities are:
• Develop and execute regional marketing strategies tailored to the Benelux and Nordics markets, ensuring alignments with global goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of product managers, ensuring their alignment with business objectives and supporting their personal development.
• Oversee product management activities, including product lifecycle management and go-to-market strategies.
• Implement marketing plans and programs based on clear segmentation, targeting, and positioning in collaboration with the Product Management team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, regulatory, and R&D teams to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
• Analyse market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to inform product and marketing strategies.
• Accountable for implementing GCP in the Cluster including new approaches for CVM, CPM and KPI adoption and best practice sharing.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, building relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to foster product advocacy and market adoption.
• Understand market dynamics, including competitors, trends, and future trajectories, to align bioMérieux’s marketing activities and guide business direction.
• Ensure alignment and effective communication between global, regional, and local marketing teams.
What do you bring?
• Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant industry experience within diagnostic or Life Sciences is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences/Medicine or equivalent.
• Proven track record in creating marketing strategies, launching, and exiting products, and implementing successful marketing plans that drive revenue and expansion.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and provide effective leadership within matrixed, cross-funtional teams.
• Familiarity with infectious diseases diagnosis, treatment, clinical microbiology, and patient pathways is essential. Knowledge should include at least one of the following areas: respiratory conditions, pneumonia, meningitis, encephalitis, antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, or sepsis.
• Ability to connect, facilitate, and lead multifunctional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.
• International mindset, with the ability to adapt and lead in multicultural environments.
• Ability to travel minimum of 50% of the time depending on business needs and external environment.
• Fluency in Dutch, with strong business proficiency in both French and English.
