Join the Data & AI team as the Technical Lead for the AI solutions development platform. At the heart of this newly established team, and working closely with numerous internal and external partners, you will act as the technical conductor, ensuring strong technical consistency and enabling the delivery of high quality solutions.
What will your mission be at bioMérieux?
Technical Leadership
- Lead technical decision-making, balancing scalability, security, cost, and delivery constraints.
- Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure alignment with the architecture principles defined by the AI Architect.
- Identify technical risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Technical Roadmap & Engineering Excellence
- Define and maintain the technical roadmap in alignment with product priorities.
- Manage technical debt and continuously improve engineering practices.
- Establish development standards and contribute directly to critical components.
- Drive engineering excellence across the platform.
Delivery & Quality
- Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and code review of solutions.
- Ensure robustness, scalability, maintainability, performance, and security of delivered solutions.
- Promote automation and reusable components to accelerate delivery and improve efficiency.
Team & Partner Enablement
- Mentor team members and foster knowledge sharing and technical ownership.
- Oversee external partners contributing to implementation, ensuring quality, alignment, and accountability.
- Facilitate technical discussions and contribute to a strong collaborative engineering culture.
Who are you?
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Significant experience as a Senior Developer or Technical Lead, including operational leadership of technical teams.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, cloud-native architectures, and AI, GenAI, or MLOps use cases.
- Strong background in software architecture and enterprise application development.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Good knowledge of modular design principles, APIs, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong ability to drive change and ensure adoption of technical standards and decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics and facilitate decision-making.
- Professional fluency in English; French is considered a plus.
