We are looking for a Confirmed Imports/Exports Compliance Analyst to join our Ethics and Compliance department. This position will report to the EMEA Imports/Exports Compliance Manager, as part of an international team of 3.
What is your role at bioMérieux?
As an expert in European customs regulations, as well as in export control, you will coordinate the implementation of activities and processes linked to new regulations, manage priorities with rigor, guarantee compliance with deadlines and identify risk situations to guide decision-making.
Your tasks:
- Manage customs data determination activities (classification, origin), update information systems and maintain documentation relating to compliance decisions and processes.
- Perform due diligence and third-party verification (screening) as part of the Know-Your-Customer program.
- Determine license and permit requirements for imports/exports to France and Italy.
- Manage the AEO, MACF and other programs.
- Write and improve documented work instructions.
Who are you?
- 5 years' higher education in one of the following fields: customs and compliance, international trade, legal.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in import/export compliance or customs.
- Experience in the healthcare sector would be a plus, as would an international profile (overseas assignment, position in a company with a strong international dimension).
- Interest in regulations related to compliance within the US and EU perimeters
- Mastery of data management, combined with a logical mindset and a keen interest in process optimization and data science.
- Strong intercultural communication skills
- Integrity, strong interest in ethics. Strong emotional intelligence and ability to engage, with the confidence to interact with all levels of the business
- Ability to analyze problems to support rapid decision-making
- Ability to prioritize activity according to risk
- Team-oriented, supports team successes
