We are seeking a Market Analyst Trainee with a strong interest in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries to join our Pharma Quality Control (QC) Business Unit within Industrial Applications at bioMérieux.

 

Our Pharma QC Business Unit delivers end‑to‑end quality control expertise and solutions to pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, and CDMOs - helping them bring critical therapies to patients faster and more safely.

 

As part of bioMérieux’s ambition to expand beyond its leadership in Microbiology, the Business Unit is actively investing in high‑growth markets (such as Cell & Gene Therapies and Bioproduction) and in innovative technological platforms that are redefining pharmaceutical QC testing.

 

Reporting directly to the Global Segment Manager, you will play a key role in structuring market and competitive intelligence for the Blood Market within the Pharma QC Business Unit, supporting strategic decision‑making at global level.

 

 

What is your role at Biomerieux? 

 

Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Research, collect, analyze, and synthesize market data and trends related to the blood market (e.g. blood banks, transfusion centers), including customer behaviors, competitive landscape, and regulatory evolution.
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of the existing Pharma QC business in the blood market: mapping current applications, exploring use cases, and identifying unmet needs and gaps.
  • Develop actionable market insights to support the identification of new growth opportunities, including market segmentation and value proposition definition.
  • Contribute to strategic recommendations for Global Marketing and leadership teams.

 

Content & Communication Support

  • Update and optimize marketing and sales materials used for MarCom, Sales, and Training activities.
  • Identify needs for scientific or technical content creation, updates, or revisions in collaboration with internal experts.
  • Support the consistency and clarity of messaging across internal and external communication assets.
 

Who are you ? 

 

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, combined with a scientific background in Pharmaceuticals and/or Life Sciences.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and synthesis skills, with the ability to structure complex information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Communication, Scientific Affairs, Sales, Strategic Accounts).
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a team‑oriented, international environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), with solid reporting and presentation skills.

 

This position is located in Craponne – accessible by public transport from Lyon, France.

 

The monthly allowance for an intern is paid after one month of employment.

 

The amount of the allowance depends on the student’s level of education and is higher than the statutory minimum.
