We are looking for a Field Application Specialist – Immunoassay & Microbiology who will work and grow within the Customer Service / Applications Specialist department. The position is based in the Delta Region, Egypt - Tanta and surrounding areas.

The role is field-based, covering the Delta region, with frequent travel and remote support as required.

 

What will your responsibilities be?

 

As a Field Application Specialist, you will provide scientific and technical application support, customer training, troubleshooting and consultation for bioMérieux diagnostic systems, while ensuring high customer satisfaction, optimal system performance and effective reagent utilization.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Performing pre-installation inspections, supporting system installation, configuration and validation.
  • Delivering on-site customer training and ensuring proper system utilization.
  • Providing ongoing application support and troubleshooting for Immunoassay and Microbiology systems.
  • Acting as a technical expert for the assigned product lines.
  • Identifying customer training needs and implementing relevant training plans.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through regular follow-up of the installed base.
  • Supporting system optimization and workflow improvement, with recommendations addressing technical, quality and productivity dimensions.
  • Collaborating closely with Field Service Engineers and commercial teams.
  • Supporting product launches, evaluations and demonstrations.
  • Helping develop and retain business by strengthening customer relationships.
  • Supporting customers in fully utilizing the technical potential of bioMérieux solutions, including interpretation of results, specimen management and workflow optimization.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, including FCA, FSCA and vigilance processes.
  • Providing support after working hours when necessary and acting as backup for the support center when needed.

 

Who are you?

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • You bring 3 to 5 years of experience in application support, laboratory activities or the diagnostic field.

 

Technical Skills:

  • You have strong knowledge of laboratory workflows and diagnostic applications.
  • You have experience in Immunoassay and/or Microbiology techniques.
  • You are able to install, validate and troubleshoot laboratory systems.
  • You demonstrate strong customer training and presentation skills.
  • You have basic IT skills, including Windows OS and MS Office; knowledge of CCNA, CompTIA and HL7 would be preferred.
  • Understanding of LIS and system integration would be an advantage.
  • You are fluent in Arabic and have an excellent level of English.
