Position Summary:
Provide technical support, training, troubleshooting, and consultation to internal and external customers for the diagnostic test systems marketed by bioMérieux.
Responsibilities:
- Answer internal and external customer inquiries per established guideline and document in ERP system; consult as appropriate with Application Specialist, System Engineer, Management, Global Customer Support and Lab IT Specialist.
- Develop problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the investigative process
- Learn bioMérieux products and procedures that are job specific, drafting documentation as needed and assist with the implementation of new products
- Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators
- Complete projects and tasks in support of organization objectives
- Contribute to revenue generation initiatives through promotion of value added projects and services
- Perform on-call duties as needed to provide 24-hour technical support to customers
- Serve as a consultant and trainer for coworkers, taking on a higher level role when requested by management or as needed
Studies and Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related field
- Minimum of three years of laboratory experience and/or minimum of one year experience as a bioMérieux Associate Application Specialist or equivalent experience in a related position
- Microbiology Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with bioMérieux products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
