Position Summary:

Provide technical support, training, troubleshooting, and consultation to internal and external customers for the diagnostic test systems marketed by bioMérieux.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Answer internal and external customer inquiries per established guideline and document in ERP system; consult as appropriate with Application Specialist, System Engineer, Management, Global Customer Support and Lab IT Specialist.
  • Develop problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the investigative process
  • Learn bioMérieux products and procedures that are job specific, drafting documentation as needed and assist with the implementation of new products
  • Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators
  • Complete projects and tasks in support of organization objectives
  • Contribute to revenue generation initiatives through promotion of value added projects and services
  • Perform on-call duties as needed to provide 24-hour technical support to customers
  • Serve as a consultant and trainer for coworkers, taking on a higher level role when requested by management or as needed

 

Studies and Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related field
  • Minimum of three years of laboratory experience and/or minimum of one year experience as a bioMérieux Associate Application Specialist or equivalent experience in a related position
  • Microbiology Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with bioMérieux products
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
