ACCOUNT MANAGER FOOD INDUSTRY –- EMILIA-ROMAGNA & NORTH-EAST ITALY

 

As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our presence in Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Trentino Alto-Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia (North-East area of Italy) by developing strong customer relationships and driving sales performance in the Industrial Food Microbiology field. You will manage a dynamic territory, promote our portfolio of instruments, reagents, and services, and help shape our growth in the Food market.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Grow the business in your assigned North-East region (Food Industries)
  • Identify new business opportunities and create and execute impactful business action plans and customer projects
  • Build and lead strategic relationships with executive stakeholders of key food industry accounts and food associations to be perceived as a trusted advisor
  • Engage with customers to uncover business needs, identify risks and opps, and develop improvement programs
  • Support the transition from product-focused selling to value-based selling
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams including Marketing, Technical Application Specialists, Supply Chain, and the Tender Office to deliver the best customer experience
  • Report sales results, territory KPIs and competitor activities regularly
  • Maintain an accurate forecast and use CRM tools to track progress (Salesforce experience is a plus)

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 7+ years of successful B2B and/or B2C commercial or production or quality or technical or marketing experience in the food industry
  • Master's degree or equivalent in food Technology, Food Science, Animal Production Science, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Sciences, Process Engineering, Biotechnology (Food-related disciplines)
  • Good knowledge of key food manufacturing processes across industries such as Dairy, Meat, Beverages, Prepared Foods, Ingredients, and Food Processing
  • Knowledge of Food Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genomics and Metagenomics is highly desirable
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory, and technological trends affecting customers
  • Consultative Selling, Value Selling, Strategic Thinking and negotiation Skills
  • Executive Presence, Business Acumen and a Hunting Mindset
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, including with senior executives (C-level)
  • Resilient, dynamic, results-driven, collaborative attitude
  • Ambition to grow within an established international organization such as bioMérieux
  • Proficiency in Italian and English
  • Availability to travel (70% of work time, field-based job)
  • Comfortable with digital tools (CRM, MS Office, virtual presentations)

 

Work Location: candidate ideally based in Lombardia Est, Veneto, Emilia Romagna.

Field-based job Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Trentino Alto-Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Salary range: 50-65K annual depending on experience and skills + Sales Incentive bonus
