PRIMARY PURPOSE AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

 The Field Application Specialist (FAS) provides the field biological-applicative and technical support and services on bioMerieux products/solutions by proactively addressing customers' major and daily needs, challenges, and requests in order to timely answers to their needs and inquiries, ensures the optimal lab operations and the best customer's experience. The FAS follows the customers at all stages of bioMerieux solutions life cycle management in a close collaboration with the other internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide biological-applicative and technical support on-site (eg.: troubleshooting on relevant biological-applicative complaints, corrective maintenance, customer requests and questions. etc.) to bioMerieux systems, reagents and software in Bacteriology and deploy field actions, when required, on products under his/her responsibility in collaboration with the other Customer Service functions (CSS AS, CSS IT, FSE etc).
  • Collaborate with the other Customer Service teams throughout the product/solution installation process (pre-installation audit, installation, configuration, training and hyper care). Contribute to the preparation/translation and revision of local training material, technical and promotional documentation and deploy scientific and product training to internal and external customers (systems, reagents and software) on-site and/or remotely.
  • Support and follow the evaluations at the customer. site connecting with the internal departments (Customer Service, Marketing, Medical Affairs and Sales).
  • Support the new products in terms of product's technical usage, lab implementation and la!) educational activities. The FAS provides technical product/solution presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interact and effectively collaborate with the internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Tender Office, Supply Chain etc) in the tender preparation process as part of 'one team". The FAS is responsible to set up and compile the technical documentation in respect of timelines and quality of delivery.
  • Develop a strong expertise about customers' needs and market environment, report satisfaction & needs and proactively collaborate within the account team supporting the sales team with technical expertise and timely execute the activities.
  • Punctually enter and report activities and data in the appropriate internal service tools.

 

TYPICAL STUDIES EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Studies-Experience:

  •  Bachelor/Master's Degree in Biology, Biotechnology or Science related field
  • Expertise in In Vitro Diagnostics field, techniques and technologies
  • 2/3 years' experience in clinical laboratory or IVD field
  • Good IT competencies

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to effectively communicate, train and present topics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to use data and knowledge to interact and collaborate in a constructive and agile approach
  • Able to handle priorities and deliver commitments on time; organized and proactive with a strong sense of ownership

  • High level of integrity and team spirit
  • Fluent in Italian and English

  • Financial Indicators (Budget, turnover, etc.): Budget, turnover, profitability, retention, growth for lines of competence
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Account plans & installations (completeness, quality, on time); Recorded activities in dedicated service tools (completeness, on time); Customer satisfaction (NPS & retention); Time at customer site (visits; CVM driven etc); Customer training quality (score); Tender technical part (completeness, quality, on time); New products and Demo! evaluations (completeness, quality, on time)
  • Key contacts and interfaces (internal/ external): Internal (Account team, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Tender Office and other internal customer facing
    departments);  external (Customers)
  • Scope and Resources Accountabilities: Held biological-applicative and technical support; training, materials, presentations and tenders document preparation for lines of competence (Bacteriology)
