Field Application Specialist Molecular Biology & Immunology - North West Italy

Reporting to the FAS Manager and as part of the Adriatic Customer Service Organization, the Field Application Specialist Molecular Biology & Immuno provides high level scientific-biological support to Molecular Biology and Immunology bioMérieux customers in the use of our systems/products, and helps developing and selling customized services to our key account customers located in the North-West area of Italy, by identifying their specific needs and lab necessities.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide technical support to bioMérieux systems and reagents in Molecular Biology and Immunology: pre-installation audit, technical installation, configurations, connections, customer training, troubleshooting
• Provide promotional and technical presentations to customers of the Adriatic Cluster on bioMérieux solutions and manage demo/sales evaluations on our products
• Identify customer needs for scientific training, promote our training offer at bioMérieux Training Centre and prepare/translate training material, technical and promotional documentation
• Give support for tenders preparation and for the achievement of product/system sales goals
• Sell services, act according to service action plans and contribute to create tailor-made services for our Key account customers
• Develop and maintain relationships with the customers and influencers by regular visits in order to create and maintain a favorable selling environment for our company
• Follow the marketing strategies for Adriatic cluster and share with Marketing dept. the relevant information from the field that may affect our market
• Support the Marketing dept. on pre-post marketing evaluation on Molecular Biology and Immunology bioMérieux products

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• BS/BA degree in Science / Business related field (Biology, Biotechnology, etc)
• High expertise for in vitro diagnostic techniques, particularly on Molecular Biology and Immunology
• Good interpersonal & communication skills
• Experience with a laboratory environment
• Problem solving & client service skills
• Availability to travel (85-90% of the time), field-based job
• English language proficiency (level B2-C1)

Location: Lombardia, Milano

Availability to travel across the North-West Italy area (Liguria, Lombardia, Piemonte, Valle D'Aosta)
