Supply Chain Manager - Adriatic and Iberia

Iberia & Adriatic consist of two commercial clusters, with respective headoffices in Madrid (ES) and Firenze (IT). Each cluster managed by 2 commercial leaders : 1 for Clinic and 1 for Industry. The combined turnover is ~200M€/year.
This position will be based in Firenze (IT) (preferred) or Madrid (ES), and reports to the EMEA Supply Chain Vice President.
As the Iberia & Adriatic Supply Chain Manager you are accountable for the performance of the supply chain, as business partner member of the Leadership Team of each Cluster. You are also responsible for the management of the Iberia Supply Chain organization across Lisbon (PT) & Madrid (ES), and the Adriatic Supply Chain Organization across Firenze (IT) & Athens (GR) (20p in total).
While both organizations operate with a high degree of autonomy, this role is key in promoting the sharing of best practices and aligning ways of working across the two clusters.
Important : This is a grounded, country-based, operational position, where home office is difficult more than once per week. The Supply Chain Manager is expected to work on the field, with and amongst her/his team members, in the countries. As a consequence, there is an important dimension of travel as part of the role. Travelling every second week to the country in which the Supply Chain Manager will not be located is mandatory. This means the capability to travelling 50% (possibly more during on-boarding phase) is a must.
What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?
• Ensure to meet the promises in terms of delivery service to customers and keep logistics costs under control.
• In accordance with the Clusters Leadership Teams and the EMEA Supply Chain VP, lead the Clusters Order Policy management and Supply Service Offer strategy, deployment and operational management
• Act as an active member of the Iberia and Adriatic Cluster Leadership Teams, contributing ideas, sharing perspectives, and collaborating with peers to drive results. Demonstrate a proactive approach, foster constructive dialogue, and support change initiatives, while helping shape the development of both clusters in a multicultural and collaborative environment.
• Control supply chain activities including import from France (mostly) and local sourcing of Third-Party Products where relevant, order entry, inventory management, distribution & logistics, customer communication & logistic complaints as well as Master Data
• Lead Cluster’s monthly demand management and Sales & Operational Planning meetings.
• Control/Steer logistics operations for secondary network level (warehousing and transportation); provide technical support (safety, regulatory and quality policies;) and manage 3PL relationship and contracts.
• Provide input, approve and monitor Service Level Agreement of his/her Clusters, and steer replenishment on local inventory products.
• In alignment with the regional guidelines and sharing best practices with other Clusters in EMEA, he/she continuously improves and harmonizes processes and supply chain performance and team skills.
• Lead the Cluster supply chain teams, manage and monitor team's workload and performance (~20 people across the two areas).
• Define objectives, methods and skills needed, in compliance with all applicable regulations, relying on the local teams and knowledgeable resources.
• Requires approximately 50% travel to ensure strong proximity with teams across the countries and a deep understanding of local operational realities.
Who are you?
Studies and Experience:
• Master’s degree ideally with specialization in supply chain / engineering.
• Over 10 years of proven success in end to end supply chain roles in international environment, including strong team development results.
• Demonstrated previous experience in remote management in an intercultural context
• Experience in sales administration, customer promise or service level monitoring, or in planning.
• Strong knowledge in demand management (SAP), sales administration and logistics (warehousing and transportation).
• Pharma, Medical Device or In Vitro Diagnostics knowledge & refrigerated transportation/short shelf-life products management are a plus.

Annual salary range depending on the country: 75.000-110.000 EUR
