We are looking for a recent graduate with a strong interest in IT and healthcare technologies to join our Nordic Service team as a Field IT Specialist Graduate based in Göteborg, Sweden.

This 18-month graduate program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic systems, middleware solutions, and healthcare IT environments. You will work closely with experienced engineers and develop both your technical expertise and customer-facing skills. Depending on business needs and performance, the role may evolve into a permanent position.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and updating of bioMérieux middleware software used in hospital laboratories.
  • Ensure proper communication and integration between bioMérieux diagnostic instruments and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) within hospital networks.
  • Perform middleware software updates and system maintenance across customer sites in the Nordic region.
  • Ensure all IT activities comply with strict hospital IT security policies and cybersecurity requirements to prevent potential network vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for middleware software, connectivity issues, and system integration challenges.
  • Collaborate with field service engineers, hospital IT teams, and laboratory staff to ensure smooth system implementation and optimal performance.
  • Document technical interventions, updates, and system activities in internal tools to ensure traceability and compliance with company standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of technical documentation, procedures, and best practices.

 

 

Who are you?

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong interest in healthcare IT systems, software integration, and cybersecurity
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers and internal teams
  • Structured, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work in an international environment
  • Fluent in English and Swedish ; Finish is a plus

 

Location: Göteborg 

Start date: as soon as possible

Duration: 18 months
