We are looking for a Senior Controller to join our Finance team supporting the Benelux and Nordics region.

This is a senior individual contributor role for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with autonomy and sound judgment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, while providing valuable insights to support business decision-making across the region.

Operating as a trusted finance expert, you will independently manage complex financial topics and contribute to a high standard of financial governance — without direct people management responsibilities.

Your key responsabilities:

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) in line with IFRS and local GAAP
  • Perform balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and analysis of key accounts
  • Ensure the consistency, transparency, and reliability of financial data
  • Provide variance and trend analysis to support business performance
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles
  • Challenge financial assumptions, identify risks, and support investment and cost analyses
  • Apply and monitor internal controls and governance frameworks
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Identify control gaps and contribute to remediation actions
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, including standardization and automation
  • Support finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements
  • Act as a trusted finance partner, communicating complex topics in a clear and business-oriented way
  • Collaborate closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and other finance teams

Who are you?

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus
  • 6–10 years of experience in controlling, accounting, audit, or similar roles, ideally in an international environment
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and financial governance
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • High attention to detail and strong professional integrity

bioMérieux welcomes applications from all individuals, regardless of race, national origin, gender, age, physical characteristics, social origin, disability, union membership, religion, family status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or any unlawful criterion under applicable law. We are committed to treating all applicants fairly and avoiding discrimination.
