Senior Maintenance Technician
LOMBARD, ILLINOIS, US
Position Summary:
As a Maintenance Tech Specialist, you will coordinate and conduct daily technical activities such as utilities, production equipment, buildings and industrial technical events according to the planning and priorities established by the department head.
This position will be second shift: 4pm - 6:30am shift (M-Th).
Main Accountabilities:

Works with Maintenance Technicians to find and implement improvements to production and or facilities.

Coordinates Maintenance Technician daily assignments to meet department due dates.

Completes preventative maintenance work orders on or prior to completion due date.

Provides development opportunities and training to Maintenance Technicians to improve skills and knowledge of equipment and facility.

Anticipates obstacles and challenges, acts with urgency to overcome them.

Knowledgeable in project management, Lean6Sigma, and continuous improvement process to complete work.

Works closely with Engineering team members and assists in projects as needed

Troubleshoots and repairs facilities and production equipment in a timely and efficient manner

Maintains adequate spare parts inventory

Maintains good relationships with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Facilities Maintenance
Studies, Skills and Experience:
-
5+ years relevant experience
-
Experience in organizing, planning, or running a project
-
Lean 6 Six Sigma Training / Actively participated in Kaizen Events

Controls Experience, beginner level

Continuous Improvement Mindset

Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices

Must have strong Mechanical / Electrical Aptitude with the ability to train others as required.

Familiar with Blue Mountain Asset Manager or other MRP system

Self-directed and be able to make safe, cost-effective decisions on their own.

Must have the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and facilities equipment and be able to react quickly to reduce downtime and / or minimize long term issues.
