Description

Join bioMérieux and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital innovation in R&D. As SVP, R&D Digital Solutions & Platforms, you will lead the transformation, structuring, and delivery of digital solutions for Clinical laboratories, clinicians and surveillance networks.

Your scope focuses on transversal digital solutions, as well as the shared platforms that enable them. System-specific software remain under the responsibility of the respective R&D franchises, while your role ensures consistency, scalability, and reuse across the broader ecosystem.

You will bring together product development, platform engineering, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity into a unified organization. Your mission is to evolve the current portfolio into a coherent, scalable digital ecosystem, driving faster innovation, improved integration, and a seamless customer experience across diagnostics.

A key responsibility of this role is to transform existing digital solutions toward a platform-based architecture by identifying, extracting, and industrializing shared capabilities—such as data, analytics, decision logic, and workflows—and making them available as reusable services across solutions.

Operating at the intersection of science, engineering, and digital technologies, this role contributes directly to bioMérieux’s mission of advancing public health.

Missions

Digital Solutions Strategy & Delivery

• Define and execute the global strategy for R&D transversal digital solutions.
• Lead the transformation of the digital portfolio toward a platform-based architecture, leveraged by the system software teams
• Drive improvements in development speed, integration, and deployment efficiency.
• Ensure strong alignment with business priorities and end-user needs, working closely with Global marketing and regions
• Manage external partners and vendors in the digital domain
• Lead innovation initiatives focused on new transversal use cases, including AI-driven applications

Platforms, Architecture & Shared capabilities

• Define and implement a shared digital platform strategy inclusive of data, analytics, workflow and orchestration services
• Implement the R&D Digital operating model integrating platform, architecture, and product delivery capabilities
• Lead the transformation towards reusable, platform-based capabilities and shared platform services by improving their usability, modularity, and value for product teams

• Establish and maintain standardized data acquisition and integration approaches

• Define and enforce, architecture, software engineering standards, tools and development methodologies with strong governance of interfaces

• Oversee cybersecurity for digital customer-facing solutions, ensuring secure-by-design
• Drive effective use of outsourcing and partnerships

Governance & Investment

• Establish governance frameworks, decision rights, and accountability models between platforms and products.
• Align with existing portfolio, program, and project governance
• Drive investment prioritization and resource allocation based on business value and reuse potential
• Ensure clear accountability for budget, resource allocation, and transformation outcomes.

Data, AI & Digital Innovation

• Accelerate data-driven and AI-enabled innovation across digital solutions
• Enable advanced analytics and decision-support capabilities
• Leverage external partnerships to complement internal expertise

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead a global organization across software, platforms, and data.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation collaboration, and agility.
• Define make-versus-buy and outsourcing strategies.

Profile

Experience

• Executive leadership experience in digital and/or IT transformation Ideally in healthcare environment
• Proven track record in operating model and digital transformation.
• Experience in global, matrixed organizations.

Skills & Capabilities

• Expertise in digital platforms, cloud, data, and AI.
• Ability to lead complex enterprise transformations.
• Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills.
