bioMérieux's Global Clinical Operations Marketing department is looking for an associate director of marketing communications to lead and implement the MarCom strategy for several product lines or franchises with an international scope. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Marketing Communications for Clinical Operations, he/she will supervise a team of six marketing communications managers and project managers based in France and the United States.
I – Main responsibilities
- Leads the team in developing marketing communication plans and ensures they are aligned with the business strategy.
- Communicates a clear vision and direction to enable the effective deployment of global content and campaigns.
- Ensures that the team is well aligned with the franchise marketing teams and marketing representatives from the regions and countries through strong teamwork and excellent leadership skills.
- Defines communication objectives and tactics according to product line strategy to maximize commercial effectiveness and strengthen bioMérieux’s brand image in the market.
- Oversee the production of marketing materials, including brochures, website content, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all channels and platforms and monitor customer brand perception by customers.
- Assess the return on investment (ROI) of promotional efforts and provides reports on how globally developed content and campaigns are being adopted and implemented locally, to help maximize their overall impact at the company level.
- Supervises and supports their team in the various types of training or transformation processes underway within the organization and develops the skills and leadership of each individual while promoting excellent team spirit.
- Pilots the communication and media agencies in developing recommendations and content creation for marketing materials and campaigns
- Actively participate as a member of the Global Marketing Communication leadership team alongside the Global Marketing Events and the Global Digital Marketing Associate Directors in charge of campaign and content planning, and the Leader of omnichannel engagement strategies.
Who are you ?
- Minimum education level: Master’s degree in business, Marketing, and/or Communication (MBA is a plus)
- 2–5 years of experience in a similar position with team management within a large company
- Ability to manage a complex environment with multi-level partners and decision-makers in many different functions
- Very good leadership skills suitable for a multicultural team in more than one country
- Ability to take risks and responsibility for developing innovative approaches and challenging established practices.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet commitments on time (results-oriented and committed to continuous improvement)
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver relevant, customer-focused solutions
- Complete autonomy in project development and team leadership
- Fluent in spoken and written English and French; another language is a plus
- Good knowledge of marketing and business strategy, particularly in the medical and healthcare sector.
- Exposure to senior management roles within the company
- High level of integrity and team spirit
