Our Global Marketing department is looking for a Competitive Intelligence Manager, under a permanent contract, to join the Strategic Market Insights team. You will be reporting to the Senior Director Global Strategic Market Insights within a team of 9 members.

Our role is to support the Clinical unit of bioMerieux by providing analysis/data/insights on biomerieux activity and its broader market to inform strategic decision.


What will be your responsabilities at bioMerieux?

You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, structuring and disseminating information related to bioMerieux's competitors and related In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) market

  • Develop and lead cross-functional processes for understanding and analyzing bioMerieux's competitors strategy and associated portfolio
    • Define and update competitor identity maps
    • Analyze and predict the impact of competitors' movements on bioMerieux (organization of war gaming, scenario planning)
  • Drive key processes of the competitive intelligence activity at the company level
  • Share within the company the possible movements of the competition and related potential impact to bioMerieux
  • Understand, analyze and share data and trends on different markets and therapeutic areas of interest and related competitors move.
  • Utilize multiple sources of information, including external databases, data collected from market studies conducted within the team, etc.
  • Interact and collaborate with various stakeholders within the company (e.g. marketing, investor relations, corporate strategy, R&D etc.)
  • Drive ad hoc transversal project (R&D, Medical affairs, Bus Dev, Marketing) leveraging competitive intel and market data to answer strategic questions.

Who are you?

  • 5 years of higher education in science and/or business
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business (e.g. consulting, marketing) or other profession with a strong analytical component
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Good analytical skills; you have the ability to understand technically complex subjects and to produce simplified analysis.
  • Good communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify messages and adapt the communication to the different level of the organization.
  • You have a sense of priorities and good organizational skills to structure a process
  • You are autonomous and proactive
  • You have a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to use Excel
  • Fluent in English
  • Occasional travels (France and abroad)
