We are looking to hire a Health Economics and Modelling Specialist to join the Global Market Access team, which consists of nine members and operates within the Clinical Operations division. This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Global Market Access.

 

The position is offered as unfixed-term contract and is based in Marcy-l'Étoile, France, with potential flexibility for other locations in France, Spain, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Italy, or Germany. Domestic and international travels up to 25% of working time.

 

 

What will be your responsibilities?

 

This strategic role will be responsible for designing and executing health economic models that support local reimbursement submissions, market access strategies, and value narratives for bioMérieux innovations.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—including Real-World Data Scientists, Market Access Strategy experts, and local market access teams—to ensure models are tailored to diverse healthcare systems and effectively support payer engagement.

 

Health Economic Modelling

  • Define and select modeling approaches best illustrate the value of our products, in accordance with the market access strategy.
  • Develop flexible, adaptable models for use across diverse markets.
  • Execute models directly or oversee vendor-led projects to ensure quality and strategic alignment.
  • Customize models using local epidemiological and healthcare system data in collaboration with Real-World Data and Payer Policy & Evidence Assessment teams.

Publication

  • Identify opportunities to publish models in peer-reviewed journals or congresses.
  • Review and refine manuscripts to ensure scientific rigor and timely submission.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Provide ad hoc support to local teams preparing reimbursement submissions.
  • Address evidence gaps with tailored economic models that meet market access needs. Ensure the highest level of scientific rigor.
  • Be creative and engaged on how innovative tools and approaches can best support reimbursement globally.

Support for Real-Word Data and Payer Policy & Evidence Assessment

  • Provide input and validation for Real-World Data studies.
  • Support Payer Policy & Evidence Assessment reviews as needed.

Innovation & Thought Leadership

  • Stay abreast of emerging methodologies, tools, and regulatory trends.
  • Champion innovative approaches to economic evidence generation that enhance the global reimbursement landscape.

 

 

Who are you?

 

  • Education: Master or PhD in in Health Economics, Economics or equivalent fields
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in health economic and outcome research (HEOR) field. Diagnostic or medical device industry experience preferred
  • Proven HEOR expertise through peer-reviewed publications
  • Skills and abilities:
    • To process highly complex problems without clear definition and proposes path forward.
    • To operate in a flexible and changing environment and adapt role and scope to the business imperatives
    • Proficiency in health economic modeling techniques (cost-effectiveness, budget impact, cost-consequence, etc.).
    • Tools: Advanced skills in Excel, including modeling functions, sensitivity analyses, and scenario building. Experience with VBA and/or other programming languages (e.g., R, Python, TreeAge) to automate and scale modeling.
    • Ability to adapt global models with local epidemiology and healthcare system data to support country-level reimbursement.
  • Strong knowledge of health technology assessment (HTA) requirements and payer evidence standards across major markets.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required
