Reporting to the Innovation and Partnerships Program Director, you are a member of the Innovation and Partnerships team, driving the growth and successful execution of the bioMérieux innovation pipeline.
The primary objective of your mission is to maximize the value of partnerships in order to efficiently support innovation by :
- fostering strategic R&D collaborations,
- identifying and responding to relevant calls for proposals,
- securing and managing grants.
What are your main accountabilities?
You will be responsible for leading R&D strategic partnerships (about 70% of your time) and managing grants and calls for proposals (about 30% of your time).
You will provide regular updates to internal stakeholders to ensure transparency, alignment and engagement.
R&D strategic partnerships:
Responsible for the R&D partnership strategy and the operational management of R&D strategic partnerships:
- Identify needs and propose areas where R&D external collaborations can bring significant value by working closely with internal bioMérieux R&D teams,
- Alliance management: lead and coordinate the definition, development and implementation of strategic partnerships (defining scope and scientific collaboration roadmaps, establishing and formalizing Master agreements in coordination with Legal and Intellectual Property, overseeing efficient execution through high-level activity monitoring and organizing steering committees) and foster and drive strong relationships with strategic partners from executive leadership to operational teams,
- Collaboration project management: lead the operational management of collaboration projects in close cooperation with bioMérieux R&D Project Leaders and/or Technical Leads as well as the external partners, ensuring seamless coordination, effective execution (project plans, contracts, budgets, governance, project meetings) and compliance with legal guidelines and internal policies.
Grants management:
- Through an active watch in Europe, US, France, identify and then communicate the relevant calls for proposals, external funding and consortia partnerships opportunities to support R&D strategy and project portfolio roadmap, targeting appropriate bioMérieux teams likely to apply,
- Ensure that any external funding and/ or consortium partnership opportunity is reviewed and approved by the relevant internal stakeholders prior to submission of an application to an external funding agency or commitment to a potential external partner,
- Lead the portfolio for grants opportunities and active projects while providing support to teams throughout the whole granting process, ensuring processes and promoting continuous improvement,
- Act as the key R&D point of contact and representative liaising with organizations such as EIT Health, Horizon Europe, MedTech Europe/IHI in which bioMérieux is a member, in coordination with other internal bioMérieux stakelholders.
What is your profile ?
Studies-Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or science required; Master’s Degree preferred
Solid experience with minimum 7 years experience in project, program and/ or partnerships management
A professional experience in monitoring calls for proposals and managing grants (EU/US/French) is strongly recommended
A scientific experience will be a plus
English: oral and written.
