What will be your main accountabilities?

 

You lead the strategic evaluation of advanced, high‑dimensional infectious disease diagnostics (e.g., host‑response, multimodal signatures, multi‑omics), shaping future investment priorities, innovation pathways, and external opportunity assessments. The role defines how emerging biological complexity will transform diagnostic decision‑making, clinical value creation, and bioMérieux’s long‑term competitive positioning.

 

The role translates emerging scientific modalities into clear business opportunities, strategic choices, and portfolio implications. It supports internal innovation projects and BD assessments by framing scientific plausibility, differentiation thresholds, and commercial relevance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Anticipate scientific advances and identify key opportunities in advanced diagnostics,

• Define and structure high-value clinical use cases such as severity stratification, therapy optimization, and integrated host–pathogen decision models,

• Build strategic recommendations including market potential, clinical value, and competitive dynamics,

• Provide strategic input to upstream innovation projects and BD/M&A assessments,

• Ensure alignment with R&D, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other Strategic Marketing domains.

 

 

What is your profile?

 

• Experience in strategy (consulting, corporate strategy, innovation) within life sciences or diagnostics.

• Strong understanding of immunology, infectious disease biology, or molecular diagnostics.

• Ability to assess scientific data and translate complex innovations into business implications.

• Strong structuring, synthesis, and clear communication skills.

• Comfortable working in early innovation and emerging scientific topics.
