bioMérieux is looking to strengthen its industrial capacity to serve its clients by developing its product range at the La Balme-les-Grottes site. The pursuit of pioneering projects at the La Balme site offers concrete professional development opportunities in an innovative and international environment.

 

 

To support the growth of our team and develop our expertise, we are looking for our future Analytical Chemistry Engineer. This position will be based in the USA for 12 months as a VIE in Salt Lake City, starting mid-2026, and then at the La Balme-Les-Grottes site.

 


What will your responsibilities be?

 


You will join a team dedicated to the industrialization of products:

  • Analytical Chemistry methods development and implementation
  • Conducting tests within the framework of product or process non-conformities

 

This strategic role directly contributes to future industrial quality and performance.
You will bring your analytical chemistry expertise and lead related testing in compliance with quality, safety, and timeline requirements.

 

Within the Analytical Chemistry team in R&D department, in the USA:

  • Take part in all team activities:
    • Understand the analytical chemistry methods deployed, test protocols, tools, and associated method validation
    • Understand the maintenance and operation of analytical equipment (LC/MS, ICP, IC, Karl Fischer, HPLC).
  • Document best practices and participate in drafting procedures.

 

 

Who are you?

 

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in analytical chemistry, including liquid chromatography (HPLC/UPLC), mass spectrometry (LC/MS), ion chromatography, ICP, and Karl Fischer titration
  • Knowledge of applying these techniques to molecular biology (e.g., biomolecule or oligonucleotide analysis) is a plus
  • Ability to analyze results, identify anomalies, and propose solutions
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and lead research projects, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and produce scientific documentation
  • Strong skills in technical writing
  • Experience or exposure to regulated environments is an advantage
  • Proficiency with IT tools (Excel, laboratory software, databases)
  • Curious, rigorous, autonomous, with strong organizational skills and team spirit
  • Ability to adapt and multitask, managing urgent situations and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a taste for working in multidisciplinary teams and project-based environments
  • Proactive, resourceful, and capable of analysis and synthesis
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills: able to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Languages: Fluent in English (minimum B2 level, written and spoken) and French
