Primary Purpose and Overall Objectives 
Act as a clinical resource to demonstrate and promote the clinical value of our products and solutions to 
physicians & other healthcare providers by supporting their implementation within the hospital or healthcare 
environment to improve patient outcomes, provide real-world evidence and promote demand & prescription

 

Main Responsibilities
• Clinical promotion
∙ BioFire promotion to treating physicians in various clinical departments including but not limited to ED, 
ICU, PICU, NICU, Neurology, Pediatrics, Respiratory, Oncology and Infectious Disease departments.
∙ Establish contacts and elicit influence from hospital administration, procurement, nursing departments 
and relevant committees (ASP committee, Infection control, etc) to increase prescription of BioFire tests.
• Clinical KOL network
∙ Identify and maintain relationships with clinical KOLs.
∙ Invite KOLs for BioFire seminars and other educational events organized by bioMerieux and keep them 
up to date with new product information and clinical evidences.
∙ Collaborate with marketing and medical affair in managing and supporting the KOLs. 
• Collaboration
∙ Provide updates on the progress of clinical promotion at target sites to sales and marketing through 
regular BioFire business review meetings and other ad hoc meetings.
∙ Keep the record of clinical contacts and clinical promotion activities in CRM.
∙ Support sales team in promoting BioFire to laboratory customers upon request.
• Reporting
∙ Provide report on clinical promotion activities through salesforce.com.
∙ Participate BioFire business meeting and share key market / account insights. 
• Achieve BioFire clinical demand objectives
∙ BioFire consumption in target sites.
∙ Expansion of BioFire test menu in target sites.
∙ Increase number of prescribing physicians.
• Leadership
∙ Take lead in setting strategy and planning action for clinical promotion in target accounts with necessary 
support from other departments.
∙ Escalate to the sales director in case cross functional actions are required for high impact or high risk 
opportunities.
• Capability development
∙ Acquire medical and technical knowledge necessary to communicate with physicians and influence their
perception and prescribing decision.
∙ Keep updating local patient management practices and payment environment.

 

Qualification
• Bachelors or master’s degree in Natural science, Bioscience, Biotechnology and Clinical laboratory
• More than 2 years of experience in Customer Service, Sales, Application and Training operations, Medical 
technologist
• Expert on his/her products ranges (Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular biology)
• Demonstrate teaching, training skills, able to work independently, effectively multi-task to meet 
deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office programs
• Ability to train peers and/or news comers, as well as distributors, in his /her area of expertise
• Fluent in English (writing, speaking)
