Data Privacy Officer, ASPAC

1. Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the position:

Oversee all ongoing activities related to compliance with applicable personal data protection regulations related to Asia Pacific region with focus on China.

2. Main Accountabilities:

• Lead compliance of the company with personal data protection regulations in coordination with Corporate Data Privacy Officer.
• Oversees, directs, delivers, or ensures delivery of privacy trainings and awareness to all employees and applicable third parties.
• Support and serve as the information privacy liaison with all business data representatives of the ASPAC region in their data privacy compliance.
• Supervise potential data breach and answers to data subject’s access request.
• Establishes and maintains a process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and taking actions on all complaints concerning organization’s privacy policies and procedures in coordination and collaboration with other functions.
• Maintains current knowledge of applicable privacy laws and standards, and monitors advancements in information privacy to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance.
• Cooperates with external Government and Data protection Authorities entities in any compliance reviews or investigations.
• Contribution in the Global Privacy compliance roadmap.

3. Typical Studies-Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
   1. Studies-Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the domain of privacy (4 years at least)
• Experience in life science domain is a plus.
  2. Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong expertise in Chinese PIPL, other Asia Pacific data protection regulations; EU data privacy (GDPR) is a plus
• Initiative spirit, teamwork and collaboration in establishing and sharing knowledge;
• Good Information Technology expertise (applications, infrastructure, security);
• Expertise using OneTrust privacy platform;
• Data Privacy certifications (CIPP/E, CIPT,..) is a plus
• Good oral and written communication skills.
