PRIMARY PURPOSE AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB
The Total Rewards Manager, Greater China is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs that align with organizational goals and support talent attraction, retention, and engagement. This role ensures that total rewards strategies align with global guideline and local market practices, regulatory requirements, and business objectives, while driving competitiveness and employee engagement through data-driven insights and effective communication.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Compensation & Benefits Management
• Lead the design, implementation and governance of compensation structures and benefits programs.
• Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to ensure market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage annual compensation cycles, including salary reviews, incentive payouts, and equity grants, etc.
Process & Project Leadership
• Oversee, review, and optimize payroll-related activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timeliness, and driving systematic or automated improvements where possible.
• Manage rewards projects and processes independently, from diagnosis to delivery, with minimal supervision.
• Identify and resolve systemic or non-evident issues in existing processes; update methodologies proactively in the absence of defined procedures.
Total Rewards Strategy Implementation, Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
• Implement total rewards strategies that encompass pay, benefits, and work-life programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
• Design and deliver clear, impactful communication materials to enhance employee understanding and appreciation of rewards programs.
• Act as the trusted subject matter expert on rewards for HR partners and business leaders, providing data-backed guidance and recommendations to proactively engage key stakeholders
Vendor & Compliance Management
• Oversee relationships with benefits vendors, insurers, and survey providers to ensure service quality and value.
• Ensure all rewards programs comply with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in job architecture, incentive design, benefits management.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, HRIS, and rewards platforms.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently, identify and correct problems in existing systems; propose improvements without predefined procedures.
