Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job
The Key Account Executive, Food & Pharma is responsible for supporting commercial growth, customer engagement, and account development for the Food and Pharmaceutical business in Singapore.
This role contributes to the achievement of sales and business objectives through account management, business development, customer engagement, and solution-based selling approaches.
The role serves as a key representative of bioMérieux in Singapore and works closely with customers and internal cross-functional teams to strengthen customer relationships, support business growth, and deliver customer satisfaction.
Main Accountabilities
- Support the achievement of annual sales and business objectives for the Food & Pharma business in Singapore.
- Support the development and execution of account plans and business development activities to drive customer growth and market opportunities.
- Identify customer needs, market trends, competitive activities, and business opportunities within the Food and Pharmaceutical industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and relevant stakeholders.
- Promote and position the Company’s solutions and value proposition through a customer-centric and solutions-oriented approach.
- Manage and develop customer accounts, including pipeline management, opportunity identification, quotation follow-up, and coordination of commercial activities.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Application Specialists, and other internal stakeholders to support effective execution and customer satisfaction.
- Support the launch of new products, solutions, and commercial initiatives in the Singapore market.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and customer information using CRM and other business tools.
- Represent the Company at customer meetings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, and other industry-related activities.
- Ensure all sales and business activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Studies and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or other related scientific disciplines.
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales, account management, or business development experience within the Food, Pharmaceutical, Diagnostics, Life Sciences, or related industries.
- Experience in microbiology, food safety, pharmaceutical quality control, industrial applications, or laboratory solutions is an advantage.
- Experience in customer engagement and account management within a B2B environment is preferred.
- Experience working in a multinational and matrix organization is an advantage.
