Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning and managing of diagnostics solutions (Systems and IT) implementation and identified Canada BMX corporate projects that directly contribute to organization revenue growth objectives and customer retention. The Project Manager plans, monitors, and manages projects from initiation through to completion ensuring it meets the business requirements, internal or external stakeholders are satisfied, and it meets the project plans obligations regarding specifications, quality, costs and timeframes.

 

Main Accountabilities:  

  • Drive implementation projects to completion for bioMerieux products in support of the sales organization.
  • Setting and managing client expectations, defining the scope of the project, assigning tasks to specific team members.
  • Lead risk management within projects, ensuring risks have appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Proactively communicate with project stakeholders, account manager, and executive/senior management, providing insight on progress or issues through root cause analyses.
  • Maintain authority and control of projects while ensuring accountability of all stakeholders, ensuring adherence to business guidelines to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Establish, maintain, and lead high performance project teams, serving as the project advocate within the client organization.
  • Develop strategy and individual responsibilities to assist account managers with the close of all High Value targets.
  • Lead Connectivity implementation processes to drive the completion of Remote Solutions installation for the diagnostic systems marketed by bioMérieux to ensure remote connectivity is available to deliver world class customer service.
  • Develop, design, and implement strategies for the successful execution of all implementation projects, including corporate account specific initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the account manager, define and deliver quarterly business reviews.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Typical Studies-Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience project management required; in healthcare preferred.
  • Project Management certification is required or a minimum of 3-5 years previous experience managing IT related projects.
  • Experience in analyzing customer’s business needs and Laboratory product/system integration objectives to coordinate and manage the delivery of IT solutions to meet customer’s needs.
  • Experience in following, maintaining, and improving the implementation methodology.
  • Previous leadership experience is desired.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in English and in French with excellent communication, analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, effectively multitask to meet deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in project management software tools.
  • Proven ability to learn and master software applications.
  • Exhibit good interpersonal and diplomacy skills, excellent verbal, and written capabilities through previous experiences such as teaching, sales, or management.
  • Exhibit good decision-making ability, including problem resolution.
  • Employs the expertise of others and provides expertise in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) products
