Primary Purpose and Overall Objective:
The Product Manager – Immunoassay plays a key role in delivering the marketing strategy and commercial performance of the Immunoassay franchise. The role works closely with customer-facing teams to drive revenue growth, market development, customer adoption, and installed-base utilization. The Product Manager serves as the voice of the customer, translating customer and market insights into value propositions, commercial initiatives, and actionable marketing plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Planning
- Develop and implement a strategic long-range plan, annual business plan, and budget that are realistic, defensible, and achievable.
- Monitor business performance and support the achievement of revenue, profitability, market share, and installed-base objectives.
2. Market Intelligence and Customer Insights
- Develop market intelligence covering customer insights, market trends, competition, pricing, and growth opportunities.
- Serve as the voice of the customer to support product positioning and marketing strategies.
3. Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Develop and execute the Marketing Action Plan to drive market development, customer adoption, and portfolio growth.
- Develop value propositions, campaigns, and communication tools, and monitor marketing effectiveness.
4. Revenue Growth and Commercial Support
- Drive installed-base utilization and revenue growth in partnership with Sales, Application Specialists, and Field Service Engineers.
- Support strategic account initiatives and commercial priorities.
5. Pricing and Profitability
- Develop and implement pricing, positioning, and promotional strategies.
- Support pricing approvals and business cases through pricing and profitability analysis.
6. Product Training and Sales Enablement
- Develop and deliver product training and sales enablement programs.
- Equip customer-facing teams with product knowledge and commercial tools.
7. Forecasting and Inventory Management
- Maintain forecast accuracy of >90% to support revenue planning, inventory optimization, and prevent stock-outs.
- Monitor demand trends and update forecasts with Sales and Supply Chain.
8. Brand and Customer Engagement
- Act as a brand ambassador to strengthen customer confidence and reinforce bioMérieux as the partner of choice.
- Support customer workshops, congresses, KOL engagements, and product launches.
Key Deliverables
- Realistic, defensible, and achievable Long-Range Plan (LRP) and annual budget.
- Complete, timely, and measurable Marketing Action Plan aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
- Effective execution of marketing initiatives in collaboration with Sales, Application Specialists, and Field Service Engineers to achieve annual revenue and profitability targets.
- Forecast accuracy of >90% to support revenue planning, inventory optimization, and prevention of stock-outs.
- Growth in installed-base utilization and portfolio consumption through targeted market development and customer engagement initiatives.
- Effective product and commercial training programs that strengthen field capability and support business growth.
- Actionable market intelligence, customer insights, and KOL engagement to support business strategy, product positioning, and portfolio decisions.
- Effective pricing, positioning, and promotional initiatives that drive sustainable and profitable business growth.
Educational Background & Experience
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) industry, including at least 3 years of Product Management experience in Immunoassay (IA).
- Experience engaging clinicians, laboratory professionals, healthcare stakeholders, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Experience collaborating with distributors, Sales, Application Specialists, and Field Service Engineers.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Life Sciences, or an MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience in sales, distributor management, or commercial marketing.
- Experience working in a regional or multinational IVD organization.
