We are looking for an IT/OT Engineer&Service Delivery Manager for our Tres Cantos site and our Iberian subsidiary. The successful candidate will join the IS department and will report hierarchically to the IS Manufacturing EME Domain Manager, and functionally to both the ARM Domain Manager and the Production Manager of the Tres Cantos site.
The position will be based on our Tres Cantos site.
What will be your missions at bioMérieux?
You will have two main areas of responsibility:
1.IS for Manufacturing: Service Continuity Focus
- Ensure the availability of applications and IT infrastructures dedicated to production activities
- Maintain local industrial applications
- Manage the obsolescence plan for applications and infrastructures
- Ensure and implement the Backup/Restore process for local applications
- Contribute to the optimization of IT processes dedicated to production
- Act as the guarantor of the company’s cybersecurity strategy
2. Area Relationship Manager manages the relationship between IT and the business across bioMérieux manufacturing sites and subsidiaries in the EMEA and LATAM regions.
Responsible for a portfolio of sites, the ARM is accountable for the relationship with local end users and managers.
His/her main mission is based on three pillars:
Business partnership
- Captures and challenges local business needs, and shares them with his/her network of Portfolio Managers when relevant or required for business operations, with the objective of preventing shadow IT
- Supports the Infrastructure & Workplace Domain and Service Managers in consolidating needs and preparing next year’s budget forecast
- Supports local controlling teams in refining and adjusting IS service consumption with a focus on cost efficiency
Local delivery & Adoption
- Coordinates on‑site activities to support the delivery of local solutions (technical upgrades, internet links, meeting room installations, office moves, etc.) and assists IS teams.
- Acts as the point of contact in the event of a critical on‑site incident, triggering escalations and ensuring proper follow‑up. When incidents take longer to resolve, he/she can leverage his/her network to accelerate resolution.
- Provides day‑to‑day guidance and responds to IS‑related questions; also supports M&A activities by leading the adoption of IS services and processes.
Communication & Awareness
- Acts as the liaison between IS services and business teams, relaying key information to the sites and ensuring that IS milestones, new projects, and points of attention are clearly communicated, well understood, and properly disseminated.
- Sends IS INFO communications to inform bioMérieux employees of critical incidents or upcoming maintenance impacting business activities.
- May participate in management or steering committees, share IT performance KPIs, and present global key topics.
- Contributes to the “red carpet” process and delivers the “IS onboarding” presentation to newcomers.
- Works closely with cybersecurity teams, sharing best practices with the sites and raising alerts when inappropriate behaviors are identified.
Who are you?
- Computing engineer or generalist
- Experience: At least 5 years in IT or industry environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt messaging to diverse user groups
- Ability to build effective relationships with users, partners, and IS teams
- Well‑organized and structured
- Solid experience in investigating and resolving IT issues
- Familiar with the constraints related to production environments
- Fluent in English
- Strong ability to synthesize information
- Proactive, committed, with the ability to innovate and propose solutions
- Capacity to take ownership of complex topics and drive them to completion
- Team spirit, adaptability, and emotional intelligence among the key interpersonal skills required for this role
