As a Maintenance & Automation Industrial Technician, you will join the Maintenance team at our Tres Cantos production site, reporting to the Maintenance & Automation Manager.
Your mission will be to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of production equipment and facilities through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What will your responsibilities be at bioMérieux?
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on machinery, automated lines, industrial installations, and general services, ensuring proper operation through post-intervention checks and testing.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults, including troubleshooting of automated systems via PLCs, HMIs, and control systems (e.g. Siemens TIA Portal / Step7).
- Repair, replace, and adjust equipment components such as motors, sensors, actuators, drives, electrical panels, pneumatic elements, and transmission systems.
- Provide technical support to Production during format changes, machine adjustments, and operational incidents
- Interpret technical documentation including electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and field signals.
- Collaborate with the Automation team on system improvements, testing, modifications, and commissioning activities.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance equipment availability, reduce recurring failures, and improve line efficiency, ensuring accurate documentation in the CMMS and compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Who are you?
- Vocational Training (Intermediate or Advanced) in Electromechanical Maintenance, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrotechnical and Automated Systems, or equivalent qualification.
- Additional training in industrial automation, PLCs, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, or industrial maintenance.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial electromechanical maintenance.
- Experience in industrial production environments, including automated lines and utility systems, ideally within regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, chemical, or packaging.
- Experience with TIA Portal, Step 7, SCADA, or industrial networks will be valued.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve technical problems.

- Intermediate level of English.
